Is Spring actually here?

I think it's almost safe to say that spring is here. Of course two weeks ago I said the same thing when we had a few nice days in a row then mother nature proved me wrong. For the sake of most parents' sanity,I hope the nice weather is here to stay. It seems to have been such a long winter being cooped up in the house. I can't watch any more Dora the Explorer or Blue's Clues. I know all the words to way too many of their songs and even find myself singing them in my head while walking or biking to work. It's so nice to be able to let the kids play outdoors. Sure now I've got an extra load of laundry a day to do as they go through about a change of clothes an hour, but it's worth it!

For Easter we picked up a ride on car for the boys, a Fred Flinstone model, feet operated. Harrison has totally laid claim to this as he voices strong opposition when David so much as nears the vehicle. Somewhat possessive of his wheels, I wonder if this is foreshadowing?

We also invested in a climb and slide play center hoping this would burn off endless amounts of energy. So far it's a hit, but it doesn't seem to drain them any, they still have plenty of power left in them for me when they finally come inside. These "contraptions" are the a hot commodity in the toddler and young child world. They are also a sure tell that there are children around. I'm always on the lookout for second hand ones but haven't happened upon my pot of gold yet. The pot of gold being a yard sale or an individual who is looking to clear out all of their Little Tykes inventory. I'm hoping that the upcoming yard sale season will be good to me and my children will reap the benefits of my rummaging and bartering.

Trevor happened upon another little nugget of gold - A John Deere ride on tractor. A poker buddy of his was looking to unload it so Trevor grabbed it as fast as I would have. He's learning well...Harrison was absolutely thrilled with this new toy. After all, now he's got a tractor like Grampie's and Great Uncle Sam's. Grampie even printed off pictures to take to Sussex to show everyone. I'm sure he'll have that one framed!

Picture time!

Here are a few shots that I had taken of the boys in late December. Harrison is two years and David was 9 1/2 months. The black and white photo was taken a couple of weeks prior to the others. I had to get more done as I had misplaced all of these ones. I had got them done so I could give them as Christmas gifts. And who says having children affects your memory? I chalk it up to being completely unorganized.

The last picture was one I had done of David and I. He wouldn't sit sitll on his own so I had to get in the picture too.
